Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Journalism at
School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies.
Broadcast Pathway (TV and radio) – training in writing for
broadcast, camera technique, editing (CoolEdit Pro),
presentation
Furthermore, I sat the following modules:
-
Information gathering and analysis
-
International news production
-
Reporting
business, finance and economics
-
Foreign
news reporting
-
Reporting
the Middle East
|
|
The above modules involved producing material suitable for
print media (newspaper and magazine)
My
MA course culminated in the production of a thesis on Islam
and international terrorism (with particular reference to
al-Qaeda). The 4 ‘chapters’ of the thesis were journalistic
analytical features.
I
interviewed prominent journalists, academics and policy
experts for the thesis. I also consulted a wide variety of
books, journals and broadcast productions. I believe my
research has provided me with a high level of understanding
in my chosen field. |
